Folly Beach Christmas Parade

Location: Folly Beach

Join us on December 12, 2026 in Santa’s favorite beach town for The Annual City of Folly Beach Christmas Parade! Line up along Center Street as floats, marching bands, and community associations show their holiday spirit. Visitors and locals are all welcome. Join Santa at Folly River Park to receive goodies after the parade! For more information, to sign up, or to contact the City of Folly about the parade, please click here.
Street Closure Information: Parking clearing and barricades start at 9:00 a.m., but access is still available. Road closures will finalize at 11:30 a.m., with Center Street closed down. Center Street will reopen a little bit after the parade completes.
Folly Beach Flip-Flop Drop!

New Year’s Eve: Wednesday, December 31, 2026
Join us on the beach for Folly’s annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show. A spectacular, family-friendly show will light up the night sky!
Viewing is available from all along the beach and even throughout Center Street. Please remember to celebrate responsibly and respect the beach and our wildlife by removing any trash and other items you bring with you.
Then, at 10pm, Center Street will close to auto traffic so revelers can flow out into the street to watch our famous Folly Beach Flip-Flop Drop! At midnight, the huge, sparkly flip-flops will descend to mark the stroke of midnight and the beginning of the new year.
Then, later in the evening, it’s the famous Folly Beach Flip-Flop Drop! Center Street will be closed to traffic as revelers enjoy local restaurants and family-friendly festivities.

The Folly Beach Wahine Classic (FBWC) is an annual surf contest hosted at the iconic surf destination, the Washout on Folly Beach, South Carolina.
With around 250 competitors and countless more families, fans, and followers, FBWC is the largest all-girls surf contest on the East Coast and South Carolina’s only all-female surf contest!
